One of Iran’s finest sports complexes has now been completely destroyed.
Details: According to MatchDay Central, one of the largest and most renowned indoor arenas in Iran, the Azadi Stadium, was demolished during a US air and missile strike on Tehran.
Reports indicate that the arena, which had a seating capacity of 12,000 and was part of the iconic Azadi Olympic Sports Complex, is now in ruins and unfit for hosting any events.

This venue had previously hosted major futsal, wrestling, football, volleyball, and basketball tournaments, with its crowning achievement being the staging of the first-ever Summer Asian Games in 1974.
Alongside the stadium, the offices of several Iranian sports federations nearby—including cycling, weightlifting, and sailing—were also damaged.
Iranian officials have stated that they eagerly await a response from the Olympic Committee, especially given that the 2028 Summer Olympic Games are set to be held in the United States.
