Unexpected twist. English clubs are seeking funds from Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has been actively promoting its brand in football, pouring huge sums into various clubs. But now, the tables have turned: clubs themselves are reaching out to the Middle Eastern country for investments.
Details: According to Sky Sports, unnamed Championship clubs and one Premier League club have approached Turki Al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, with requests for financial backing.
Al-Sheikh himself has never invested in English football, despite his broad business interests, but that might soon change. An increasing number of Championship teams are seeking Saudi investors to help them clinch a coveted promotion to the Premier League.
Recently, a Saudi billionaire parted ways with Spanish club Almeria, which he had purchased six years ago for £20 million.
Reminder: So far, the only English club with Saudi capital is Newcastle United, but it is managed by the Sovereign Wealth Fund.
