The legendary van Nistelrooy is close to becoming the head coach of an English club

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is close to getting a new status job in the near future.

According to De Telegraaf, van Nistelrooy will soon become the new head coach of Burnley. "Clarets" are looking for a young ambitious coach with fresh ideas, which would help the club to return to the Premier League, and in the person of van Nistelrooy they see just such a manager.

Recall, as head coach of Burnley van Nistelrooy can replace Vincent Kompany, who rather unexpectedly joined to Bayern.

Burnley could become the second club in van Nistelrooy's coaching career. In the season 2022/23 he successfully coached PSV, with whom he won the Dutch Cup, but was sacked due to conflict within the club.

Last season Burnley finished in 19th place and relegated back to the Championship.
