Sporle Terminates Independiente Contract And Joins Belgrano Looking For Playing Time

Adrián Sporle has ended his time at Independiente six months before his contract was set to expire. The right-back reached a mutual termination with the Argentine club and will now join Belgrano de Córdoba in search of more consistent playing time.
Since arriving at the beginning of 2024, Sporle made 33 appearances and scored two goals, but lost momentum under manager Julio Vaccari, who didn’t count on him for the second half of the season. With interest from Belgrano — who were unwilling to pay a release fee — both parties agreed to end the deal amicably.
The defender leaves Avellaneda after a mixed half-season in which he showed quality but failed to cement himself as a starter. His departure fits into Independiente’s squad reshaping, prioritizing players better suited to the current system.
At the same time, Belgrano also confirmed the arrival of Uruguayan midfielder Federico Ricca, 30, who joins on a free transfer after three seasons with Belgian side Oud-Heverlee Leuven. He signed through the end of 2026 and brings versatility and experience to midfield.
With this double reinforcement, Belgrano aims to strengthen its squad for the second half of the year, while Sporle looks to regain rhythm and consistency in a new chapter of his career.
