A harsh punishment was handed to a six-year-old supporter of French club Le Havre. According to L'Équipe, the young fan was prohibited from attending the team’s matches after throwing a paper cup and balls made of paper during a Ligue 1 game against Reims.

The child, seemingly bored during the match, reportedly tossed paper balls and a cup at another child in the stands. However, some of the debris ended up on the pitch, leading to the incident being included in the referee observer’s report.
As a result, the young fan has been banned from attending Le Havre’s next two home games. The club sent a formal letter to the boy’s parents outlining the penalty.
It appears that Le Havre faced disciplinary action from the LFP (French Professional League) over the incident, prompting the club to address the matter internally.
“It’s a bit sad, but we must address such issues and deal with inappropriate behavior,” Le Havre stated through L'Équipe. “We need to remind our supporters that the stadium should remain a place for celebration, not for anything else.”
