Cannavaro emphasized that you can't afford even the slightest mistake against Ronaldo.
"You can't give Ronaldo an inch, because if you do... you're finished," said the Uzbekistan head coach.
The Italian also recalled that at the peak of his career, he faced Cristiano on the pitch multiple times. According to Cannavaro, he managed to stop Ronaldo on several occasions, but the Portuguese star would often score against his teams as well.
"I ended my career a long time ago, but he's still playing. I congratulate him; he can play for several more years, so why stop now?" Cannavaro added.
Reminder: The tenth own goal has already been scored at the 2026 World Cup. Qatar defender Sultan Al-Brake put the ball into his own net in the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
