Official: Moroccan Referee Jalal Javed Appointed for Portugal vs Uzbekistan World Cup Clash

FIFA has confirmed the appointment of Moroccan referee Jalal Javed to oversee the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group K encounter between Portugal and Uzbekistan on Tuesday.

The experienced official will be joined by fellow Moroccans Zakariya Brinsi and Mustapha Akarkad, who will serve as assistant referees for the crucial fixture.

South Africa's Abongile Tom has been selected as the fourth official, while Zakhele Siwela will take up the role of reserve assistant referee.
