Today, the final matches of the 38th round of the Italian Serie A took place. There were three questions left unanswered, and we now have answers to two of them.

Italy will be represented by five teams in the Champions League. Atalanta's decisive victory over Torino today ensures they finish in the top four, automatically sending Roma to the Europa League. Alongside Atalanta, Inter, Milan, Juventus, and Bologna will play in the Champions League.

The Roman clubs will compete in the Europa League, while Fiorentina has secured a spot in the Conference League. However, there's an interesting twist: if Fiorentina wins the Conference League final against Olympiacos, Torino will play in the Conference League, and Fiorentina will move up to the Europa League. This means Italy could still have up to nine teams in European competitions next season.

Empoli's victory over Roma has sent Frosinone to Serie B, along with Sassuolo and Salernitana. Parma and Como will move up to Serie A, and the third promotion spot will be decided in a two-legged playoff between Venezia and Cremonese.
