Brazilian football legend Ronaldo has seamlessly transitioned into a successful administrative career since retiring from playing. However, running clubs no longer seems to satisfy his ambitions—he’s aiming for a bigger role.

Details: According to Goal, citing Sport, the “Phenomenon” plans to run for the presidency of the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF). The position will become vacant in March 2026, when current president Ednaldo Rodrigues steps down, although the election is scheduled a year earlier.

Ronaldo reportedly already has a strategy in place if he wins. His first move as CBF president would be to approach Pep Guardiola with an offer to become head coach of the Seleção.

Media outlets have speculated about Guardiola coaching a Latin American powerhouse before. However, the current CBF leadership has reaffirmed their commitment to Dorival Júnior, the national team’s present manager.

Reminder: Guardiola is entering the final year of his contract with Manchester City. The Spaniard has previously indicated when he plans to decide on his future.
