João Cancelo decided that ordinary goals simply were not enough.
Details: Barcelona defender João Cancelo produced two spectacular finishes during the LaLiga clash against Racing Santander at Camp Nou. The Portuguese started on the left side of the Catalans' defence, but his attacking contribution quickly became one of the biggest talking points of the match. One of his strikes came as early as the eighth minute, when Cancelo unleashed a powerful effort from distance and gave the goalkeeper virtually no chance.
Cancelo did not stop after his first masterpiece. The full-back once again found space in an advanced position and punished Racing with another stunning finish, turning an already impressive individual performance into a real highlight reel.
The Portuguese has always been known for his ability to contribute in the final third, but scoring twice in such spectacular fashion is something even Camp Nou does not see every week. His willingness to move inside from the flank repeatedly caused problems for Racing's defensive structure.
It is worth noting that Barcelona completed Cancelo's permanent transfer from Al-Hilal in August 2026, signing the defender until June 30, 2029. During his previous half-season loan spell with the Catalans, he made 23 appearances, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
