Barcelona intend to extend Raphinha's contract and keep the Brazilian winger at the club beyond 2028. According to Topskills Sports UK, Barcelona sporting director Deco is interested in securing a new long-term agreement with the player.

Negotiations have not yet begun, but the two sides are expected to discuss a possible extension in the coming weeks. The new contract could run for another one or two years.

Raphinha has recently become one of Barcelona's key figures and has been appointed the team's captain. The club highly values the Brazilian's contribution and wants him to remain part of the project for the coming seasons.

The 31-year-old Raphinha began his professional career in Brazil, where he played for Avaí, Vitória Guimarães and Sporting. In 2019, he moved to French club Rennes, before joining English side Leeds a year later. During his two seasons with the Yorkshire club in the Premier League, the Brazilian attracted the attention of leading European teams.

In summer 2022, Raphinha joined Barcelona. Since then, he has become one of the Catalan side's leaders and an important player for the Brazil national team. The club now intends to tie its future to the winger with a new contract.
