Basketball club Real Madrid has re-signed their former prodigy Usman Garuba, who has spent the past three years in the NBA, reports BasketNews.

The "Los Blancos" have secured a three-year contract with the 22-year-old player. Garuba spent two seasons with the Houston Rockets (2021-2023) and the most recent season with the Golden State Warriors (2023-2024).

Garuba joined Real Madrid in 2013, playing in their youth teams. He was a Spanish champion at various youth levels, winning two mini-cups and the European Cup for juniors in 2019. He made his debut with the senior team in 2019, contributing to the team's success with four titles over three seasons: one ACB Championship, one Spanish Cup, and two Spanish Supercups.

In the men's tournament, the United States claimed victory, defeating their opponents 87-98 in the final and winning their fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal. In the women's tournament, the U.S. team also emerged victorious, narrowly beating France 66-67 to secure their eighth consecutive gold.

Notably, this Olympic gold became the sixth in the career of American basketball player Diana Taurasi, making her the most decorated basketball player in Olympic history.
