Yet another reminder that money doesn't always guarantee success in football.
Details: In an interview with Viaplay, Liverpool's 47-year-old head coach Arne Slot admitted he is far from satisfied with how the club's summer signings have performed so far this season.

According to Slot, the fact that the club spent 450 million euros in the transfer market does not mean the new players have truly strengthened the team:
Of the 450 million euros we spent, I could only make use of 250 million.
Alexander Isak still hasn't found his form. Giovanni Leoni is out for the entire season. Frimpong made an impact in just 5 or 6 matches. We bought a second goalkeeper for 35 million euros who hardly plays.
So, we haven't even utilized 250 million out of the 450 million we spent, while our rivals spent 200, 300, and 400 million euros to supplement their squads, not to replace players." Slot stated.
Last summer, Liverpool splashed out nearly half a billion euros to sign players such as Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Milos Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, and Giovanni Leoni.
At the moment, Liverpool sit sixth in the Premier League with 45 points from 27 matches. The Reds are at serious risk of missing out on European football next season unless they can improve their league standing.
