Mourinho could take charge of the Eagles after Roma

The legendary José Mourinho remains without a job, but he is eager to resume his managerial career this summer, and an unexpected opportunity has arisen.

Beşiktaş vice-president Hüseyin Yücel revealed that he has already spoken with Mourinho about joining the Istanbul club.

"About a month ago, I met with José Mourinho in Istanbul. I told him that I want to see him at Beşiktaş and that he is a perfect fit for us. He stated that he would consider it after receiving a proposal. We have met Mourinho's financial expectations. We are working with sponsors and are ready to meet the necessary figures", Yücel is quoted by Record.

Mourinho was dismissed from Roma in January this year, with Daniele De Rossi appointed as his replacement. Previously, Mourinho has managed Chelsea, Tottenham, Inter, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Porto.

Beşiktaş has had a disappointing season in the Turkish Süper Lig. After 37 rounds, they are in fifth place. Throughout the season, Beşiktaş has changed four managers, one of whom was Euro 2016 champion Fernando Santos.
