Messi's late goal saved Inter Miami from defeat against Beckham's ex-club

On the night of February 25th to 26th, Inter Miami played its second match in the regular season of MLS-2024. David Beckham's club faced LA Galaxy away, where the former player of Manchester United and Real Madrid was part of the opposing team.

In the 13th minute of the game, former Galaxy midfielder Riqui Puig had the opportunity to put LA Galaxy ahead but failed to convert a penalty. However, in the 75th minute, Dejan Joveljić finally broke the deadlock.

Everything seemed to be heading towards Inter's first defeat of the season, but in the second minute of stoppage time, the guests executed a splendid combination that culminated in a goal by the legendary Lionel Messi, assisted by Jordi Alba.

This goal marked Messi's first in the season and only his second in his MLS career. In total, he has now scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 16 matches for Inter Miami in all competitions.

The legendary Luis Suárez played for 67 minutes in this match, while Sergio Busquets completed the full duration on the field.
