Roma keep trying to sign Juventus striker

Roma are looking to strengthen their striker position in the summer transfer window, and Daniele De Rossi has already found a suitable candidate.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Romans are targeting the signing of Juventus forward Federico Chiesa, whom Bianconeri manager Thiago Motta does not see in his plans. The Giallorossi's new sporting director Florent Ghisolfi will soon meet with the striker's agents to hold another round of talks.

The first meeting between the two parties already took place in June, but Ghisolfi will be aware of Chiesa's transfer situation after the European Championships, which undoubtedly prevented Juventus from increasing the winger's transfer value.

The Bianconeri are yet to receive an offer for Chiesa, despite rumours of several European clubs, including Bayern.
