Inter Milan has lost Canadian winger Tajon Buchanan for the rest of the year, reports Gazzetta.it.
The winger injured his shin during training with the Canadian national team at the Copa America. According to preliminary information, the player will be out for at least 5-6 months, and Inter president Beppe Marotta is already looking for a replacement.
An in-depth medical examination revealed a shin fracture requiring surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation period of about six months.
As a result, the Nerazzurri management immediately started looking for a player to replace Buchanan. The Milan club is considering cost-effective options – Marcos Alonso, Layvin Kurzawa, or even the return of Ivan Perisic.
The Canadian joined Inter last January from Brugge for €7 million. He managed to play 10 matches for the Italian champions, scoring one goal.
Inter has also been reshuffling their squad this summer, with five players leaving the team.
