The Los Angeles Lakers are keen on retaining their leader, LeBron James. It appears the basketball star is also inclined to stay.

According to insider Shams Charania, LeBron James plans to sign a two-year contract worth up to $104 million to remain with the Lakers.

It was recently reported that the California club intends to offer their leader a three-year contract. Under this new deal, the 39-year-old legend is expected to earn approximately $160 million.

The deadline for James to agree to his contract is June 29. Previous rumors indicated that James was planning to opt out.
