Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has announced his intention to reveal his next bout on January 1.
"On January 1, 2024, I will announce the date of my next fight and my opponent.
As for my opponent? It was Michael Chandler, and it should remain that way," - wrote McGregor.
Previously, the coach of the former UFC champion, John Kavanagh, shared information about a possible return of the Irishman to the octagon. He mentioned that Conor wanted to return in April, but it seems more likely that the fight will take place in the summer.
It's worth noting that McGregor had previously mentioned his next fight would be against Michael Chandler, but there hasn't been an official announcement yet.
McGregor last entered the octagon in the summer of 2021, where he suffered a leg injury during a bout against Dustin Poirier.
