Alcaraz easily advanced to the quarterfinals of the Roland Garros
In Paris, the prestigious Grand Slam tournament, Roland Garros, continues. Today, on June 2, the fourth-round singles matches are taking place.
World No. 3, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime. The match was relatively straightforward for him. Carlos secured a convincing victory, winning the first two sets with identical scores of 6-3. The Canadian ran out of steam in the third set, winning only one game and exiting the tournament. Interestingly, Auger-Aliassime improved on his previous year's result, as he was eliminated in the first round last year.
Roland Garros, Round of 16:
Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada, 21) — Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, 3) — 3-6, 3-6, 1-6
In the quarterfinals, Alcaraz will face Stefanos Tsitsipas, who today defeated Italian Matteo Arnaldi in four sets.
