According to Dagbladet, those detained include both current top-tier players and club officials. On Friday, February 27, police officially confirmed the arrest of seven individuals. They are suspected of orchestrating fixed matches and illegally profiting through betting schemes.
The arrests reportedly took place on Wednesday in Oslo. Law enforcement conducted a series of searches at multiple addresses, seizing materials significant to the investigation. After questioning, the suspects were released, though prosecutors are seeking to have one individual remanded in custody.
The investigation is being conducted under strict confidentiality. The identities of those detained, as well as the clubs and specific matches under suspicion, have not been disclosed.
