Arsenal crushed Brugge 3–0 in their UEFA Champions League clash, and one of the Gunners’ stars has carved out a new chapter in club history.
Details: Gabriel Martinelli scored Arsenal’s third goal, and according to Opta, he has become the first player in Arsenal’s history to score in five consecutive UEFA Champions League matches for the club.
Noni Madueke also found the net, and as Opta reports, the winger became the first Arsenal player ever to score each of his first three goals for the club in the European Cup/Champions League.
By the way, Erling Haaland is playing his 50th UEFA Champions League match and has already scored his 51st goal in the competition. No player before him had reached such a mark in so few games.
