The esteemed player of Liverpool and Fulham, Danny Murphy, criticized the managerial performance of Manchester United. In his column for the Daily Mail, Murphy opined that the core issue facing the club lies with the team's manager. He suggested that if the "Red Devils" wish to return to their former glory and reclaim top positions in the league standings, dismissing Ten Hag would be prudent.

"Manchester United, with their current roster, simply can't compete against Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal. I fail to see progress within the team after ten Hag's initial promising season. On the contrary, I observe regression, and it's unclear how the coach can alter this situation.

Undoubtedly, ten Hag is not solely responsible. Many of Manchester United's problems are not directly linked to him. Nevertheless, ten Hag wields substantial influence at United, and none of the transfers so far can be deemed successful. Some players lack motivation, which ultimately falls on the coach's shoulders. If Manchester United aims to return to the top tier of the table, the decision to part ways with Ten Hag should be considered."

To recap, Manchester United suffered another defeat yesterday. This time, they were outplayed by a team that has been competing in the Premier League for the seventh consecutive season and usually occupies lower positions in the league table—Bournemouth (0-3). Presently, the "Red Devils" hold the sixth position in England's top division, trailing Liverpool by ten points. In the Champions League, the situation is even bleaker, and United must secure a victory against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Depending on the outcome of the simultaneous match, the fate of the Manchester club's participation in the spring tournament will be decided. Should they draw or face defeat, the club will cease its involvement in European competitions for this season.

Danny Murphy, an English footballer prominent in the 1990s and 2000s, is most renowned for his performances with Liverpool and Fulham. He also played for Charlton, Tottenham, and Blackburn. From 1994 to 2003, he represented various age categories of the England national team.
