Liverpool has rejected the offer to sell backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to Nottingham Forest, as reported by Mail Sport.

It is said that Nottingham offered £15 million for the Irish goalkeeper, but Liverpool turned down the proposal.

It is noted that the Merseyside club values the understudy to Alisson Becker and has no intention of selling him, at least not for that amount. The Reds are not willing to consider offers for the goalkeeper for less than £20 million.

The 25-year-old Kelleher is a product of Liverpool's youth system. He has played 33 matches for the Reds' first team, conceding 42 goals.

In the current season, the goalkeeper occasionally substitutes for Alisson, mainly in matches of the English League Cup and the Europa League (with five appearances in each). In the Premier League, the Irishman has played only twice.

Transfermarkt values the player at €15 million, and his contract with the Merseyside club is valid until June 2026.

Earlier, we reported that Liverpool's head coach, Jurgen Klopp, is targeting the signing of Maximilian Beier from Hoffenheim.
