The qualifying tournament for the CAF Women’s Champions League continues in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Following the opening match between USFA and Dynamique FC on Sunday in Group A, Group B kicked off on Monday 24 August.

The first Group B fixture, played this afternoon, saw the Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas take on the Ghanaian side Ampem Darkoa Ladies. It was a match that lived up to all expectations at the Stade du 4 Août.

Both teams, determined to secure their place in the CAF Women’s Champions League, fought a fierce battle. But when the final whistle blew, it was Ampem Darkoa Ladies who came out on top.

The players from the Ghanaian club secured a narrow 1–0 victory over their Ivorian counterparts. Despite their best efforts, ASEC Mimosas were unable to equalise.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have thus got their campaign off to a flying start in the race to qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
