Unexpected twist. PSG star's transfer to Liverpool on the verge of collapse
PSG forward Ibrahim Mbaye may be reconsidering his future plans as protracted negotiations with Liverpool continue to drag on. According to French outlet L'Equipe, the transfer saga has lasted too long, and the player is now open to offers from other clubs.
Liverpool are keen to reinforce their attacking flanks following the departure of Mohamed Salah. The Merseysiders are currently in talks with Brighton over Yankuba Minteh and have already reached a verbal agreement with the Gambian winger on personal terms. However, their second bid of £60 million has been rejected.
Amid this situation with Minteh, Mbaye's move to Liverpool has also been cast into doubt. Sources indicate that negotiations between the clubs over the French winger are progressing slowly. Moreover, both Mbaye and fellow PSG player Bradley Barcola—who is also on the English club's radar—may not be included in Luis Enrique's squad for the Ligue 1 opener against Rennes.
Meanwhile, RMC Sport reports that the Reds and PSG are still at an impasse over the player's valuation. The Parisians are demanding €70 million for Mbaye, while the English side is only prepared to offer €50 million.
