Former Leicester head coach Enzo Maresca has taken charge of Chelsea, prompting the Foxes to seek a new manager for the next season.

It has been confirmed that Steve Cooper is the new head coach. The club has signed a three-year contract with the 44-year-old specialist, running until the summer of 2027. Cooper was dismissed from Nottingham Forest last December after a two-year tenure. He has also managed Swansea and the England U-17 national team.

It is worth noting that the Foxes had been in contact with Graham Potter’s representatives in their search for a new head coach. The former Chelsea and Brighton manager was a priority target for Leicester.

Recently, Leicester City extended the contracts of Vestergaard and Vardy, and announced the departures of Iheanacho, Albrighton, and Praet.

Under the guidance of Enzo Maresca, who has now become Chelsea's coach, the Leicester club won the Championship and returned to the English Premier League.
