Premier League newcomer extends contract with leading defender
Leicester City Football Club has extended the contract of defender Jannik Vestergaard. The new agreement will extend his stay at the club, where he has become a key player in defense. Vestergaard joined Leicester in 2021 and has since proven himself to be a reliable and experienced defender, which prompted the club to extend his contract.
The club announced on its official website that the new contract with the defender is now set to run until the summer of 2027. Last season, the Danish player appeared in 44 matches, scoring two goals.
Earlier, it was reported that Leicester extended Jamie Vardy's contract and said goodbye to several players.
It is worth noting that the "Foxes" won the Championship last season and returned to the English Premier League.
