La Liga formally requests Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid match be moved to Miami

La Liga has long sought to hold matches abroad, a goal previously obstructed by FIFA but now seemingly gaining momentum as the league submits an official request to stage a game internationally.
Details: As previously reported, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid have agreed to relocate their first-leg La Liga match from Catalonia to the United States.
La Liga, supporting this move, has submitted a request to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which will then take it to UEFA if approved, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The proposed venue is Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, home to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. This game would be scheduled to take place less than 24 hours before a Dolphins' game against the San Francisco 49ers.
La Liga still awaits a final decision from UEFA, which has until December 1 to approve the game transfer.
Reminder: Should the Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid match be relocated, it would mark the first-ever La Liga fixture held abroad. While Spanish teams have played the Supercopa in Saudi Arabia, this would be a groundbreaking precedent for Spain's top domestic league.
