Legendary MMA fighter Conor McGregor commented on the cancellation of his fight with Michael Chandler, which was scheduled for June. The fight was canceled due to an injury to the Irishman.

"We were training without full protective gear, and I hit my toe on an elbow and broke my toe. It will take a few weeks to recover.

I didn't want to make excuses to my team or fans that the fight was canceled. Everyone saw my walk. The next fight has to happen, and it will, 100%. The fans deserve it, and we are getting closer. A slight lapse in concentration and an unfortunate injury happened. That's all.

We need to learn from this and move forward. I will get back what is mine. I have two fights left on my contract. See you soon. See you at the top. Whether it's against Chandler or not, I will step into the octagon again," Conor wrote on his Instagram.

35-year-old McGregor hasn't fought since July 2021, when he broke his leg during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier.

Earlier, the legendary UFC fighter became a co-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Bare Knuckle is called “the fastest-growing sports company in the world.”
