On the night of Thursday, July 4, Miami played away against Charlotte. Despite the hosts having more possession, it was the visitors who opened the scoring. Robert Taylor put Inter ahead, assisted by the full-back Jordi Alba. However, Charlotte equalized before the end of the first half. The score was 1-1 in the 41st minute.
In the second half, Miami attacked more and managed to secure the victory in the final minutes. In the 86th minute, 19-year-old Benjamin Cremaschi scored the winning goal for his team, with Jordi Alba providing another assist.
