LeBron and his son will play during the first week of the NBA season
The Los Angeles Lakers have selected LeBron James' son, Bronny, in the NBA Draft. Now, father and son may play together, which could be a first in league history.
As reported by journalist Adrian Wojnarowski, LeBron and Bronny will play in the first week of the new season. However, going forward, the younger James is expected to largely feature in the Lakers' G-League rotation, typical for a 19-year-old drafted in the second round.
"The Lakers anticipate him being largely a G-League player, as is the case with nearly any 19-year-old picked in the second round of the draft. You'll likely see Bronny on the court with his father in the first week of the season – I don't want to call it ceremonial, but the world's eyes will be on that.
They will play in the first week of the season, but there are no expectations for Bronny to crack the Lakers' rotation," shared Wojnarowski.
LeBron James' legendary son, Bronny James, has signed a 4-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, reportedly worth $7.9 million.
Earlier, it was reported that the Los Angeles Lakers are very keen on retaining LeBron. According to insider Shams Charania, LeBron plans to sign a two-year contract worth up to $104 million and stay with the Lakers.
