Last season, Villarreal forward Alexander Sorloth fought with Artem Dovbyk for the award of the top scorer of the Spanish championship until the last round. Although the Pichichi trophy eventually went to the Ukrainian, but the Norwegian also received a consolation prize in the form of interest from a top club.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the transfer question on the 28-year-old striker was made by Roma, who are still looking for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku. Villarreal's answer was pretty clear: the "yellow submarine" will let Sorloth go only if the clausula of 38 million euros is activated.
Recall that the Norwegian in the last season of the Spanish championship scored 23 goals and gave six assists, ahead of such star players as Robert Lewandowski and Jude Bellingham in the scorer's rating.
