In the world of football, age records are being broken more and more frequently, but what is happening on the Turks and Caicos Islands defies logic. During the last September break, goalkeeper Samuel Harvey became a full-fledged member of the national team... at the age of 14!

Details: The team coach, Aaron Lawrence, who had already called up Harvey to the U-20 national team in February, had no hesitation in including him in the senior squad for the CONCACAF Nations League match against Anguilla. Interestingly, before Harvey, a 41-year-old goalkeeper had been in goal.

Reminder: Unfortunately, Samuel's debut wasn’t successful. His team lost 2-0, and Harvey played a key role in conceding a goal. Coach Lawrence continued to believe in Harvey, and he played again in the next match against Belize, where the Turks and Caicos Islands lost 0-4. However, in today’s match against Anguilla (a 2-1 win), it was not Harvey in goal but 17-year-old Peterson Sen-Fleran, who was making his second appearance for the national team.

Interestingly, Harvey isn’t the only player to debut at 14 for the Turks and Caicos Islands. His teammates, Christopher Louisi and Watson Jean-Louis, now 19, also made their debuts at such a young age, and today they are considered veterans.
