Gavi successfully underwent surgery after torn anterior cruciate ligament

The press service of Barcelona reported that midfielder Gavi successfully underwent surgery after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee and suturing the meniscus.

"Today Gavi successfully underwent surgery to rupture the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee and suture the meniscus. The operation was performed by Dr. Joan Carles Monlau in a Barcelona hospital under the supervision of the club's medical team," reads a statement published on the official Barcelona website.

We remind you that Gavi received an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus in the qualifying match for the 2024 European Championship between Spain and Georgia (3:1).

Gavi has made 15 appearances for Barcelona this season, of which he has started in 13 games. Last season, the Spanish midfielder played 36 matches in La Liga, scoring two goals and making four assists.
