Chelsea changed ownership back in the spring of 2022, but the issue of the funds remains unresolved, and the former owner is now preparing to take legal action over it.

Details: As reported by The Telegraph, Roman Abramovich is ready to file a lawsuit against the UK government over the frozen £2.35 billion. In his view, the money rightfully belongs to him.

However, he previously promised that these funds would be donated to charity to support victims of the war in Ukraine.

For now, the money has remained frozen since the 2022 sale due to sanctions imposed on Abramovich.

Reminder: Chelsea’s leadership has set ambitious goals for the club’s head coach Liam Rosenior. The club believes the current squad is capable of competing for the biggest trophies.
