Slimane Raho and his team dominated their Ghanaian opponents over both legs.

TP Mazembe put in a fine performance during this first preliminary round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League. The Congolese club had won away at Tarkwa in Ghana before sealing their victory on Saturday 12 September at Kamalondo.

The Congolese side put in a strong performance against their opponents in this return leg played in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Patrick Mwaungulu opened the scoring for TP Mazembe in the 3rd minute to make it 1-0. Josué Kazema doubled the home side’s lead before the half-time whistle. He found the net in the 19th minute to make it 2–0.

But it was not until the second half that TP Mazembe finally sealed their victory. Patrick Mwaungulu struck again in the 76th minute to make it 3–0, completing his brace in the match.

Dominic Amponsah salvaged some pride for Medeama SC with a goal in the 87th minute to make it 4–1. TP Mazembe won both legs hands down with an aggregate score of 4–1.

In the second qualifying round, TP Mazembe will face either Club Africain of Tunisia or Djoliba AC of Mali.
