For the first time in history! NFL players to participate in the 2028 Olympics

The National Football League's board of directors has passed a resolution allowing players to compete in flag football, which is set to make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Summer Games.
Details: At the league's Spring Meeting, a unanimous decision was made to permit one player from each team, along with one international player, to participate in the Olympic flag football tournament.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell believes this presents a tremendous opportunity for the sport, and for the league in particular. He stated that this is a significant step toward globalizing American football for men and women of all ages.
Following this decision, the NFL has begun discussions with the NFL Players Association. The league will assemble a 10-player roster to represent at the Olympics.
Reminder: Baseball will return to the Olympics in 2028 and will be held in Los Angeles.
