This summer, Manchester United completed the transfer of central defender Leny Yoro, but he had yet to feature in official matches, having played only a few friendlies due to a serious injury. The defender is finally making his return.
Details: Manchester United has announced their squad for the Premier League matchday 14 clash against Arsenal. Leny Yoro has been included, though he will start the game on the bench. The last time he was in the squad was back in July, during a friendly match against Arsenal. The French defender has missed over four months of action.
Recently, United’s head coach indicated that Yoro is close to being included in the matchday squad for the Arsenal game. Manager Rúben Amorim believes that the young defender has finally regained his fitness.
To recap: The 18-year-old Yoro joined Manchester United from Lille during the summer transfer window for €62 million.
The promising young talent has yet to make his debut for the “Red Devils” after suffering a foot injury in a preseason match against Arsenal in July. In August, the Frenchman underwent successful surgery.
