Elite One: Unisport and Panthere FC share the points

The headline fixture of the fourth matchday of the Cameroonian league lived up to all expectations. Facing off at the Bafang Municipal Stadium, Unisport and Panthere FC played out a 1-1 draw following a hard-fought encounter.

Second in the table before kick-off, Unisport hosted Panthere FC, who were in fourth place. The visitors quickly took the lead thanks to Stanley Agbor, who opened the scoring in the 16th minute.

But the home side were quick to respond. In the 28th minute, Edoa Assiga levelled the score, bringing the teams back on level terms. Despite attempts from both sides, the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.

This result sees Unisport provisionally take the lead in the Cameroonian league. Still unbeaten after four matchdays, the Bafang-based club has confirmed its strong start to the season.

For their part, Panthere FC have provisionally climbed to third place with a record of two wins, one draw and one defeat. Unisport and Panthere FC are, however, separated by just one point in the table following the fourth matchday of the league.
