Elite One: Coton Sport beat Dynamo de Douala to secure their first win of the season
Away at Bonamoussadi, the northern club got the better of Dynamo de Douala (3–1) on Sunday 1 November, on matchday three of the Cameroonian league.
David Pagou’s side pulled off a fine away result thanks to goals from Boris Kache, Popes Manguele and Hamit Seini. It was a convincing victory that allows Coton Sports of Garoua to really get their season underway after a disappointing opening match at the start of the Elite One season.
Meanwhile, Dynamo de Douala failed to capitalise on their home advantage. The Bon Ba Djob have now gone three matches without a win and sit on a record of two draws and one defeat after three league fixtures.
With this first win, Coton Sport can now approach the rest of the competition with greater confidence. The Garoua-based club has a game in hand. The match on Sunday 1 November was their second of the season, whilst the league is now on its third matchday.
David Pagou’s side, who finished fourth in the league last season, are hoping to do better this season in the race to succeed Colombe Sportive.
