Manchester United have suffered another humiliating blow in the Premier League — without even stepping onto the pitch.

Details: On Saturday, November 7, Manchester United dropped into the Premier League relegation zone as Nottingham Forest took a surprise 2-1 lead over Manchester City. With Forest provisionally collecting three points, Michael Carrick's side slipped to 18th place in the live standings.

Before the match, Nottingham Forest occupied 19th place with six points from nine games. However, their unexpected lead against Manchester City temporarily lifted them above United, who have collected just seven points this season.

According to the live table shared by The Touchline, Coventry City were 17th with nine points, Manchester United 18th with seven, Crystal Palace 19th with seven and Sunderland bottom with five. These positions remain provisional until the match in Nottingham ends.

United face Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday, November 8, in their next Premier League fixture. The Manchester giants will be desperate to end their miserable run of domestic results.

It's worth noting that Manchester United have registered just one victory, four draws and four defeats in their opening nine league matches, scoring ten goals and conceding fifteen.
