AFCON 2027 qualifiers: several returning players and new faces in Tunisia’s squad
The Eagles of Carthage are preparing for their double-header against Libya with a squad featuring several changes.
Head coach Mouin Chaâbani has unveiled his squad for the third and fourth matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The squad features several notable returns. Firas Chaouat, Mohamed Dräger, Ghaith Zaalouni, Mohamed Ali Ben Hamida and Mohamed Amine Ben Hamida rejoin the Eagles of Carthage after missing out on previous call-ups.
Three players are also making their debut for the national team: Moataz Zemzemi, Rafik Aouani and Mohamed Ali Ben Ammouda, who have been called up to the senior squad for the very first time.
In total, Mouin Chaâbani has selected 27 players for this double-header, comprising three goalkeepers, nine defenders, eight midfielders and seven forwards.
The Eagles of Carthage will first host Libya on 13 November, on matchday three, before travelling for the return leg, which counts towards matchday four of the qualifiers.
