The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to begin in just a week, and FIFA has announced a new measure that will directly affect supporters attending the tournament.
Details: According to Polymarket Sports, FIFA has banned the use of vuvuzelas inside stadiums during the World Cup. The governing body believes that the plastic horns are now in conflict with FIFA's spectator code of conduct.
Vuvuzelas became famously popular during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, where their distinctive sound became one of the defining features of the tournament.
It was recently revealed that FIFA has officially banned spectators from bringing any water bottles into stadiums during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Entry regulations at tournament venues have become significantly stricter.
It’s worth noting that the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada kicks off on June 11.
Reminder: The Japanese national team is unhappy with the conditions provided in Mexico ahead of their World Cup preparations.
