Liverpool Lead PSG in Race for RB Leipzig Star Yan Diomande
Liverpool are reportedly ahead of Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign highly-rated Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig this summer, according to The Athletic.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool have already made contact with Leipzig as they explore a possible deal and are currently considered to be in a strong position regarding the player’s future.
Despite the growing interest, Leipzig remains firm in their stance that the 19-year-old is not for sale unless a substantial offer is made. The German club are reportedly demanding in excess of €130 million (£112.4m, $151.2m) to even consider sanctioning a transfer.
Diomande, who joined Leipzig from Leganés last summer, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, registering 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.
Diomande has already spoken of interest in joining PSG, telling French news outlet Telefoot 1: "It would be a pleasure to play [in Ligue 1], with one of the biggest clubs.
