Malick Daff makes history in Senegalese football
Ligue 1 champion with three different clubs
With Teungueth FC’s league title win on Thursday, the Senegalese tactician has further cemented his place in the history books.
Malick Daff has once again led a top-flight Senegalese football club to the title. Under his leadership, Teungueth FC won the 2025–2026 league title. This triumph adds to Daff’s list of honours in the Senegalese Ligue 1.
Indeed, by winning the Senegalese Ligue 1 this season with Teungueth FC, Malick Daff has become the first manager to win the league title with three different clubs. He led Le Port to the Ligue 1 title in 2005, Jaraaf in 2025 and Teungueth FC in 2026. This is an unprecedented level of consistency for a manager in the Senegalese professional league.
