The England national team has made changes to its squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Serbia and Albania. The reason for these adjustments is the injuries sustained by players previously called up to the national side.

Details: Defender Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea and goalkeeper James Trafford from Manchester City have been included in England’s squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania.

Their call-up comes as a result of injuries to Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope, who will miss the matches due to, respectively, an injury and a concussion.

It’s worth noting that England has already secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup, so these fixtures will give Thomas Tuchel an opportunity to experiment and gear up for the final tournament.

Reminder: Thomas Tuchel is preparing the England squad for hot conditions to help them acclimatize to the heat in the USA and Mexico.
