The Ghanaian side secured a hard-fought victory over their Ugandan opponents (2-1) on Thursday 5 November at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, on Matchday 2 of Group B of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The match got off to a flying start for the Ghanaians. Nancy Amoh opened the scoring in the 9th minute, putting her team ahead. But the Ugandans were quick to respond. Shadia Nabirye levelled the score in the 33rd minute.

Just as the two sides seemed to be heading for a draw, Ampem Darkoa Ladies found the resources to make the difference late in the game. Beline Nyarkoh scored the winning goal in the 84th minute.

With this second consecutive victory, Ampem Darkoa Ladies have made a perfect start to the competition and consolidated their position in Group B.
