Bruno Fernandes outlined the reason behind Manchester United's home fiasco against Bournemouth
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes offered his assessment following the devastating defeat against Bournemouth in the 16th round of the Premier League (0-3).
According to the Portuguese forward, the Red Devils lack consistency to compete for top positions in the Premier League.
"We did many things wrong today. Bournemouth deserved the win today; they were more intense than us, more eager than us. We should have performed better. We should expect the intensity of the game. We are not consistent enough. If you wan to be in the top spots, you have to do it every three days. It is about understanding we need our level every game; if you drop your levels a little bit, you get punished", - spoken Fernandes for BBC.
Manchester United currently holds the sixth position in the Premier League table after playing 16 matches. Under Erik ten Hag's leadership, the team has gathered 27 points. They trail behind Liverpool, who holds the top spot, by 10 points.
In the upcoming round of the championship, the Red Devils are set to face Liverpool. The fierce rivals will meet in a battle at Anfield on December 17th. But before that, ten Hag's team has a match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The coach of Manchester United Erik ten Hag also commented on the reasons behind the crushing defeat at Old Trafford.
