Borussia Dortmund considers Tottenham midfielder as alternative to Groß

Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is eager to leave Tottenham this summer, reports Florian Plettenberg. The player has an option to continue his career in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund is still pushing to sign Pascal Groß and wants to finalize the deal as soon as possible. The “BVB” are considering Højbjerg as an alternative if the Groß transfer doesn't materialize.

"I would recommend (the move) to both - Borussia Dortmund and Pierre. He is a fantastic player. For me, he is the best central midfielder at an international level," commented Højbjerg’s national team partner, Thomas Delaney.

Højbjerg has one year left on his contract with the “Spurs.” The 28-year-old midfielder has been with the London club since 2020.

It is worth recalling that Tottenham today announced the transfer of the top talent of English soccer.
